That would be impossibe for several reasons.
1. Bart would have to be there for all 6 games. 2. Bart's woman cant sit there for all 6 games and take down stats. 3. To get all the games in we would probably have to start around 10 or 11 and still might not get all the games in. And there would be a team that would have to play first game, then not again til 5 or later most likely, or play back to back. 4. Then the biggest problem- refs....we wouldn't have enough refs to handle 6 games, we barely have enough for 3 games a week.

Maybe because were on thin ice with LMS to begin with. If we get a complaint from the football team that the field is getting torn up by someone other than them. Then were without a field period. It's not just FOOTBALL, its hundreds of external factors that decide how and what we do. Everyone wants to just play, but theres a ton of work and time that go in behind the scenes.

I agree that none of us want to fall behind a week, but also agree that there was no way we would have gotten by with playing yesterday. Someone, somewhere would have been upset with us. As much as I would like to play a double-header, there is just no way this is feasible, for the many reasons Mitch has mentioned and then some. The only way to get back on schedule is to drop the last regular season game from the schedule or to change the amount of teams that reach the playoffs. If you only allow the top 4 teams in with no 1st round bye, then you cut out a week. I don't know if I like either one of these ideas, but it will be difficult to do it any other way. Depending on the schedule, the last week games may not mean a whole lot anyways.

Regarding the playoff scenario.......We could allow 4 vs 5 a play in game @ 1:00. 2 vs 3 @ 2:30 and then 1 vs 4/5 @ 3:45 or something along those lines so that we can still have 5 teams make the playoffs. Just a thought(probably not a good one).

Double Header - Not possible. No way I'm staying there that long all day and dealing with all you cranky guys.
Cancellation - It isn't the rain of gameday as much as it has rained all fall so far and the turf is in shambles. If we would have played it would have been miserable the rest of the season. It is already going to be real bad.
Schedule - the schedule will remain as is. 1. You can't change the playoff scenario mid season. How pissed would you be if half way through you thought you had a shot to make it and then it be taken away from you b/c of weather?
2nd - Richie just wants to play next week, he wouldn't care if we didn't happen to have a bye and now we will have two straight weeks off. Yes it sucks but it just happened to turn out that way.
It has been the worst weather in 4 years of running the league by far. Just how it goes.

The bears had to sit out 2 weeks at the beginning of this season... I think you will survive.

What does it matter were just back a week. If anything gets changed its gonna mess everything up worse than just postponing a week. Obviously its an inconvenience but its unfair to Bart and Cass to have to be there all day like they already do anyway. But Richie you haven't even reffed any this year. Im there all day every Sunday too to help out. I understand you have a kid now and everything but alot of guys do. Mitch always helps out and he has one and Davidson has several and still helps out every week. You gotta look at things from the perspective of the people that are there every Sunday all day to help out

Rich, if we would have moved last weeks rainout to the end of the season and we get the first round playoff bye, we would have had two straight weeks off going into round 2 of the playoffs. I didn't think that was a good idea.

Easy Sabala on the "several"! Just to clarify, I have three and another on the way in a few months all by my wife of 10 years. She sometimes reads this board and I don't want her to get the wrong idea and not let me out to play anymore, LOL!
